Loving Life at the moment....

Well going through previous posts it now seems that I am bi-polar..... I can go from loving life to hating everything in the span of a few hours.....

I guess its just a good thing that it doesn't really last long, and I usually get back to my happy self within a day or so.

This month is my birthday!!!! The big ol' 26th..... but lets face it, I'm not ready to be 26 yet so I've decided that this year I will be turning 24 again. And I will white girl sass you if you say anything to the contrary!

I've been working on a few things lately, gone into a little bit of a wedding planning mode even though we still havent set a date yet, but Lewy has been helping out a little bit, he's emailed me a few different places to look at that he liked (thats his job for the wedding he gets to pick the place and the date) and I get to pick everything else.... and so far except for those two things its pretty much ready to go!

I've been a bit sick lately, with a nasty chest infection, but after about a week of antibiotics I was finally able to kick it, and now I'm back to nearly 100%!

What have we been up to lately? Well this week I did my work shift where my big problem class finally turned out to not be such a big problem...

Tough love was all it took, my 3 girls who had never been swimming before in their lives are now paddling away on noodles and I can barely keep up with them! There are sometimes tears, when they go under the water unexpectedly, so I've gotten into the habit of telling them they will be going under and it seems to ease the tears a little bit, I am so impressed with them though pretty soon I will be able to take their noodles away completely!

Friday I had to go down to Lewy's mum and dad's house to wait for the dishwasher repair guy to come in, I think he mistook me for an idiot who doesnt know how to use a dishwasher, because he felt the need to show me step by step the proper way to open the door and felt that he needed to remind me that I shouldnt put things on the door when its open.... like I've never had to use one before in my life.... the only thing that was actually wrong with it was that the door had gotten jarred and wasnt closing properly, it took him 5 minutes to fix, a 10 minute lecture on how to properly use it, and then another 5 minutes of trying to get a picture of the serial number on the side of the door.... I wanted to hit him XD
But about 15 minutes after he had come and gone Lewys mum came home from work and we went out for lunch and got sushi, got some groceries and then we all decided to wash the cars since it was FINALLY a warm day.

Saturday we got up bright and early because we had to go vote.... and that doesnt even matter because the person I voted for didnt get in, and now the country will probably go straight to crap like it did the last time. But dont get me started on that....
Lewy took me out for a surprise day to Dural! We went and played putt putt and oh my gosh we had so much fun! I even got sun burnt.... on one arm....I even fail at tanning properly. He ended up beating me badly but I did get a hole in one! It was a really good day, nice and w

arm and sunny, there were flower and fruit stands all along the roads, and best of all I got to spend the whole day with my bubby <3

Today the rain clouds are coming in.... even mother nature is mourning the new pm choice, but we still went out for a little shopping trip, just to the local stores but we got ourselves some new sheets for the bed, and brand new pillows, we went and had a look around some of the charity shops and found a nice little lounge that would be perfect for the "man cave" but we didnt end up getting it because it wouldnt have fit in my car....
Then we went and grabbed a sushi lunch and some starbucks and headed home before we got caught in the rain, changed the sheets on the bed and put up the new pillows, and watched some movies ^_^ all in all it's been a really good week!

No Rest for the Wicked!

Ok so this is one of those personal type blogs I'm sure you really dont want to have to read on a crafting website... but =P

So today I heard on the radio that MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) offers some free courses that you can take online, and actually receive a certificate for completing them! So when I came home the first thing I did was sign up for one.

My course starts on October 1st, and I will be trying my very best to complete Introduction to Philosophy: God, Knowledge and Consciousness. Believe it or not I'm actually quite excited for it to start! They had heaps of courses that you could do, and you could do them for fun and just watch the videos in your own time or you could do the homework and send it in online and actually receive your certificate at the end of the course... I hope to be able to do the later!

It will be something I can put on my resume and make people stop and go "WOW!" which will be very good because my resume is pretty bland at the moment...

A few of my favorite things....

I'm in a happy mood today! This is sort of rare considering the week I have had (and it's only Wednesday)...

So far this week my car battery died on me, causing me to miss a day of work. Lewy was already at work so he had to explain to me over the phone how to use our portable charger which plugs into the wall, poor thing was so worried I was going to kill myself I thought he was gonna come home from work to fix it for me! But I now know I am capable of charging the battery in my car all by myself.... putting a new one in was a different story and that DID have to wait until Lewy came home from work.... Now $178 later I have a full tank of petrol, and a brand new battery....

I've made some progress on my two teddy bears, and the body of the first one is almost finished, with the holidays having only just finished I haven't had much time to knit, what with stuffing m face full of cheesecake eggs and chocolate bunnies, and eating waaaayyyy too much food at the Nonna's house....

I did manage to finish a teddy before the holidays started, which is now home with little Miss Daniella...

Now since I'm in a very happy mood today I feel the need to share some of my favorite things...

1. I freaking love nachos... But most of the time when I order them at the shops the put too much sauce and not enough meat, or they are too spicy so I make my own and I can literally eat through a kilo of hamburger all by myself when I make them...
2. My girls are my life at the moment.... Sade and Daisy (yes I know they are doggies but who cares!) The keep me entertained all day long, they cuddle me when I'm sad, over all they are just like little people... and I feel like a mamma bear when people say mean things about them....
3. I love my job! Being a swimming instructor isn't for everyone, it takes a lot of  patience, which in all honesty I never thought I had, but it does give me a real sense of accomplishment when I see a kid who was scared to death of the water being able to swim by themselves and know that they learned it from me!
4. Harry Potter is like an obsession for me... I know it's weird but I could watch the movies every single day for eternity and never get bored... I have all the movies, all the books, and as you can tell if you have been reading all my blogs I have the Harry Potter Night in the works as soon as our kitchen is done...
5. My phone is like part of my hand... I feel extremely naked without it, and as much as I say I hate it we all know that's a huge lie....
6. Rainy weather... there is nothing more relaxing than curling up in bed with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate while the rain pours away outside... and it makes it even better when Lewy is home to curl up next to me....
7. I love our house, even though it needs a lot of work and its small, I still love it to death, its ours and we can do whatever we want to do to it, and this makes me happy.
8. Books, I'm a very picky person when it comes to reading books, and while I do have a kindle so I can bring my books with me nothing compares to a real book that you can hold in your hands...
9. Crafting things is like my own personal therapy.... when I have had a rough day all I need to do is cut something out or stab some yarn with knitting needles and all that stress goes away, it drives Lewy insane sometimes but he has his stress relievers as well...
10. My most favorite thing of all? Lewy! He puts up with my crap all the time but still finds it in his heart to love me no matter what I do... I couldn't ask for a better partner (in crime or life lol)

Now here's 10 things most people don't know about me!
1. I got to see Tom Felton (Malfoy from Harry Potter) at Supernova in real life!
2. The movie Twister makes me think of my daddy and I always watch it when I miss him.
3. I hate eggplant.... no matter how its cooked.
4. When I'm home alone I crank up my music and sing at the top of my lungs (I'm surprised we still have windows)
5. I have an old ring of my dads that I wear out for luck (and I think it actually helps me)
6. I believe in ghosts, and aliens.
7. I'm the only person (that I know of) on m dad's side of the family with green eyes
8. I have about 40 pairs of scissors and I can never find a pair when I need them
9. I love big accessories, clunky long necklaces big oversized bangles and ear rings.... I have a collection
10. I am Team Edward (book version not movie version) because he reminds me of Lewy, being overprotective and willing to jump in front of a bus for me.... I'm not ashamed to admit it!
